127 — Super Slide is a film photography experience centred entirely on one of analogue photography's most overlooked formats. Working exclusively with Baby Rolleiflex and Yashica 44 twin-lens reflex cameras, this workshop explores the quiet discipline of seeing within a square frame, embracing simplicity, restraint, and careful observation.

Presented by Craig Fouché and Sven Jurgensen, the workshop moves through carefully selected locations across South Africa's Western Cape. From weathered fishing villages and mountain passes to vineyards, quiet streets, open coastline, and small country towns, each location is chosen for its character rather than its spectacle.

The smaller negative encourages a different way of working. Composition becomes instinctive. Light becomes more important than detail. Rather than pursuing technical perfection, attention shifts toward atmosphere, gesture, and the relationships between people, place, and time.

Participants work exclusively with original 127 format cameras, including the iconic Baby Rolleiflex and Yashica 44, provided where required. Guidance is offered one-on-one, supporting each photographer's individual approach to composition, exposure, and visual storytelling. Film stocks are selected in advance and allocated to your account, with development, high-resolution scanning, and optional fine printing handled with care.
