Studio Portrait Shoot - Middle Aged Couple

Dave & Aim

My clients came from New-Zealand to visit family in South-Africa. They are a fantastic middle-aged couple as you can see by the images capture. They booked a studio portrait shoot with me whilst on holiday in November 2019.

This was one shoot I thouroughly enjoyed doing. At the time I had been in for an operation on my wrist, and really needed an extra hand to set up the studio. Dave was at hand to do just that. After the shoot, both Dave and Naaim had both had a great appreciation of what goes into a studio shoot: the set up, the shoot and finally the edited image. The best thing about having to edit middle aged couples is that they dont care about having to look like a fashion magazine cover, wrinkles are real, as is grey hair! As they say: “Age is just a number!” Saying that, it doesn’t mean you have license to produce sloppy work either.

I had great fun working with Dave, he was such a natural, the posing was easy, he was so photogenic as well as being fun to work with. As a couple, they were just great!
